Presentation guidelines

Time Schedule

• length of the talk: 20 minutes + 5 minutes discussion

In order to allow keeping to the time schedule, please make sure that your speaking time does not exceed 20 minutes.

Equipment

The session room is equipped with
• a Windows PC,
• a projector and a screen,
• Internet Access (W-LAN),
• the computers in the session room are ready for only Windows OS. (no  Macintosh)

Users of Macintosh Computers

You should bring your own Macintosh, power supplies and its VGA adapter, because there are many issues that can arise when PowerPoint files created on a Mac are run on a Windows PC.

Presentation Data

• Presentations shall be brought on an USB device
• Please use only Microsoft office PowerPoint (versions 97 - 2007: *.ppt, *.pptx) for your presentations. Otherwise it’s not guaranteed that they will run successfully on an on-site PC.
• When building your presentation, use standard fonts (e.g. M S Gothic, Arial, Times New Roman, and Century), basic fonts are included on the session room PC but if an unusual font is used, it may not translate.
• In case you have any images or videos which are not embedded in your power point presentation - please test your presentation with the on-site PC before your presentation. Generally, JPG, TIF or BMP or MPEG format respectively should work with no difficulties.
